Initial Motivation to join an European smash community?

Hey guys,

this is Niklas and I am currently writing my masters thesis about the Super Smash Bros community. I need your help to bring Smash more into focus of the current research landscape.

I have a question to those of you who are active members in an European smash community (would be nice if you could name which). I am curious about why you have joined the smash community and what is your general impression of the Smash community?
