My neutral with ness is absolute garbage. His amazing advantage state does nothing for his garbage nuetral game. nairs/airs get outspaced, pk fires, dash attacks, and magnet are too punishable.
How do you approach with ness?
How do you play his neutral?

Once I land a hit with ness I can take it pretty far, but landing that first hit is way too difficult imo.

Try to keep a good defensive game until you find an opening to attack. Stay away from the opponent and make use of PK Flash. Advantage Down-B against projectile spammers like the Links and Belmonts. Things like these should do the trick

Work on short hop fairs that fade away from your opponent to keep spacing. Use shield and take advantage of the quickness of nair out of shield. Watch what the best players like Awestin and BestNess do in neutral for thier top games.
