Let's turn on the juice and see what shakes loose
Beetlejuice (or spelled Betelgeuse) is the main antagonist of Tim Burton's Beetlejuice his second film in history (the first being Peewee's Big Adventure)
It's the first film to really show Tim's creepy, ghastly designs which has become an inspiration for many.
Barbara and Adam Maitland leave to go on vacation. One the way they accidentally drive into the river.
They return home to slowly discover that they did not survive the crash and now haunt the home that was once their own.
The Deetzes family, Charles, Delia and their spooky daughter Lydia, move into their home.
Lydia is the only one who can see the Maitland ghosts and immediately becomes intrigued with them.
It's Showtime!
Bettlejuice is a bio-exorcist summoned by the recently deceased Maitland couple to scare away the Deetzes
who moved into their home after their passing. But soon they realize why he became a freelancer to begin with.
Beetlejuice can be summoned by saying his name 3 times. But much like a genie Beetlejuice doesn't give the exact desired results.
He's mischievous, gross, obnoxious but filled to the brim with personality. Which isn't shocking considering who made him.
Welcome to Winter River, museum of natural greed
Why Beetlejuice for Multiversus? Well let's take a look into this exhibit of reasons.
-Beetlejuice is one of the many films that defined the 80's along with Nightmare on Elm Street, Footloose and Back to the Future.
-Including him would be the best option to represent director Tim Burton as Nightmare before Christmas and Frankenweenie are owned by Disney. Edward Scissorhands is owned by 20th Century Fox which is now owned by Disney. And the only other films from Tim Burton that are owned by WB are the 80's Batman films (which Batman is already in Multiversus) and Corpse Bride which isn't as popular or as well received (though is a guilty pleasure of mine)
-His supernatural powers give him an almost endless amount of potential for his moveset. Making him fun to design.
-Beetlejuice has met with many different WB characters before thus making him well versed in the crossover field.
We've come for your daughter, Chuck!
How would Beetlejuice work in Multiversus? Well he does have a well known animated series which could easily be the bases for his model and animations.
I'd say he'd be a good lock-down character. A lock-down character is a character that pushes their opponents away while giving them no chance to run away.
Perhaps a Mix-up would be more in order due to his wide range of powers?
Or even a Zoner with his supernatural abilities.
There's a lot you could do with this freelance bio-exorcist!
Riding sandworms, forcing opponents to taunt or dance, using his own limbs as projectiles, stretch his limbs for grabs, the afterlife's the limit with this one!
So what do you say? I know! Just gotta say it three times is all!
SUPPORTERS! Pleasure doin' business with ya!
