I'm starting to dislike tournament rules.

That's the biggest flaw in your argument.

This "soul of this game" you speak of is clearly directed at casual Smash players. For tournament play, the things you speak of need to be taken away for it to even be a tournament able game.

Nobody cares which items you use or which stage you go to when it comes to casual play, but when you're dealing with tournaments, you need to take away things such as overly powered items or stages with random occurrences to create what a tournament is - a test of one's own skill.

Yeah but that was wayyy back in the day lol. You can hear that kind of talk from them even now. They choose not to understand why we play that way just like some of the ignorant casuals around here.

Correct me if im wrong but wasn't it EVO that asked nintendo for smash to be on thier 2006 roster but were given Mario Kart DS instead because nintendo wanted to see if they can handle it?(im not too sure on that part)

^I believe we've said this over and over and yet it still doesn't sink into their skulls.

This man speaks truth. You guys can argue all you want, but it won't change facts.
