2 months into yoshi now, and I'm progressing insanely fast taking consistent top4ish players (hozart, 3, darksonic, plup etc) to last hit in tourney sets, etc. I've discovered many mindgames\trixies\zoning strategies\comboes that I feel all other yoshi's could learn from. I'm currently in the works of making a large post containing all my collected yoshi knowledge which will be mostly my attempt at explaining the advantages of yoshi's movement that aren't being capitalized (notebooks are really helpful for getting better btw). One thing that keeps me going is the fact that I keep finding more and more things out each time I play, and haven't stopped improving since the main switch.

I feel that I'm probably tied for 3rd best yoshi with mind trick at the moment unless there are random **** yoshis out there that I don't know about. This is only based off of vids I've seen of each yoshi and they are mostly old IIRC. This is not to say I don't have SO much to learn about general yoshi play that you guys have already mastered. Things in particular I'm working on recently: setting up grabs with eggs, controlling eggs properly, how to land d-tilt gimps, etc, I'm recording vids today, I'll have them uploaded by tonight.

Have to say though, shoutout to leffen for being my favorite yoshi BY FAR to watch. Everytime I go back and watch one of your handful of vids after training hard I feel that I'm gearing more towards your playstyle. You move faster than any other yoshis I've seen, you're pretty much my idol lol. Super motivating to see how top level yoshi can be, even when not warmed up ha.

I feel like there's a lot the top yoshi players need to learn about nair and movement in general. Top 32 in a national is solid and very respectable, but yoshi could place so much higher if completely mastered without a doubt.

TL;DR - should have vids uploaded by tonight showing why I'm basically top 4 yoshis in the usa\world, and I have a huge boner for leffens yoshi :D

hmmm, i think ur red yoshi was ur best
but i have some counters to him
ur other yoshi's are pretty solid but i have them pretty well figured out
we will see at the next time, i'll try hard to counter yoshi's novelty so u can start advancing ur foundation more
u have a long way to go so i hope u won't get discouraged
i also hope this isn't just another char fase for u, cause u seem to really enjoy playing him
can't wait to see u start parrying, i was so happy when u weren't parrying me cause i honestly feel like you could have won if u were
parry + yoshi novelty right now is really good so i'll have to learn fast not only for ur benefit but also for mine ;p

-quality is pretty bad, I'm gunna torrent pinnacle studio next time my roommates are out which will drastically improve the frame-rate and I'll actually have sound
-gahtzu is FL's best falcon main(pretty much the only falcon better than his is colins) and my primary training partner which will become apparent in the vids as he knows more about the MU than anyone else I've played in FL so far.
-rekrul is an up and coming player (hes only been playing for a year, rarely at that, but has lately been stepping it up in tourney)
-colbol is colbol
-hozart is a top player in CFL, who mains IC and seconds shiek.
-keep in mind these matches are experimental, my tournament play is much campier (pretty much stay on platforms all day until they do something dumb, will post nearly complete in depth analysis of this strategy soon-ish). i tried to be especially random while recording as to get the best possible feedback on various situations.
