Alright guys, first of all I haven't been on here in a while, so if this has already been discovered I apologize, but I looked all about and didn't see it, so here we go. So I was fooling about with aether in training mode against sheik, and I realized that if I jumped offstage and timed it so that the part of the move where the sword spins around at the top was near sheik when she tried to hit the ledge, the sword would hit her and she would either get spiked or hit the stage, which leads to a potential followup. I caught her eight times in a row with this, so I think that it's pretty useful. You all try it out and see what you think.

It requires very good timing, also Sheik can go just above the ledge and not be 2 frameable, so it isn't reliable.

It's been brought up before, and while it can work, generally speaking it's just too unsafe. With our backs exposed to the enemy, they could hit us right out of Aether into a stage spike or gimp, oftentimes with the very move they used to recover. And opponents who are paying attention should be able to stall for time to avoid Aether anyway, unless they were already easily edgeguarded in the first place.
