Now, if there is one thing that Kirby is known for, it's his numerous copy abilities!

The possibilities for Kirby having an amazing moveset is endless.

But what did Smash Bros do? Only gave him 4 copy abilities and have the rest of his attacks just be generic kicks and punches. HOW BORING!

I want Kirby to be like Mega Man, where his attacks draw moves and abilities from their respective games.

I feel like that the pink ball himself is one of the most poorly represented characters... and I shall fix that.

Going to be splitting this up into categories:
  • Weight: 76
  • Gravity: 0.07
  • Walk Speed: 1.0
  • Run Speed: 1.75
  • Initial Dash: 2.0
  • Jump Height: 26
  • Short Hop: 15
  • Air Speed: 0.85
  • Air Acceleration: 0.1
  • Fall Speed: 1.25
  • Fast Fall Speed: 1.985
Jab: Unchanged. The Vulcan Jab thing

Forward Tilt: Does a sword slash in front of him. Based off of Sword Kirby's main attack

Up Tilt: Kirby twirls his parasol above him. Based off of Parasol Kirby

Down Tilt: Kirby's Slide Kick that he used in every game he's been in

Dash Attack: Kirby becomes the Wheel Ability and zooms around

Forward Smash: Kirby's old Side B will be his new Forward Smash. Based off Kirby's Hammer Ability when he charges it

Up Smash: Kirby strikes with his sharp needle-like body. Based off Kirby's Needle Ability

Down Smash: Utilizing his new Drill ability, Kirby digs into the ground for the charge up phase of the smash attack. Once releasing the smash attack, Kirby erupts brutally from the ground dealing damage.
(Can move around and is impervious to non-ground-based attacks and can dodge attacks with ease)
Z-Air: His classic Air Gun attack

Neutral Air: Kirby's Spark Attack

Forward Air: Kirby's Fire Breath

Back Air: Kirby's Ice Sprinkle

Up Air: Kirby's Rising Gust

Down Air: Kirby's Old Down B will now be his new down air, Kirby's Stone Ability. Can now spike opponents.
Neutral - Inhale
You can move around and jump while inhaling, just like Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. His speed when doing this isn't fast, but it can apply more pressure and be more flexible to use. Also, you can slowly drift back and forth while Inhaling in the air.

You can actvate the Super Inhale from Return to Dreamland by Inhaling in place for a few seconds or by mashing directions while Inhaling. This version of Inhale has a much bigger radius and a much stronger suction force. It also lets him Inhale multiple fighters/projectiles at the same time.

When inhaling multiple projectiles, their damage is added up to determine how much he can heal and the strength of the star he can spit out. When inhaling multiple fighters, the Copy Ability Kirby gets is randomly chosen between the different victims.

When Inhaling fighters and projectiles, the fighters are prioritized, and the projectiles completely phase out. He also stops Inhaling automatically when his mouth reaches its full capacity (3 fighters and maximum strength star).

Side - Cutter
Kirby's side-b is completely new, being a Cutter boomerang. It's a simple boomerang style move, which continues traveling backwards if it doesn't run back into Kirby. The angle it travels can be adjusted up or down before thrown. All of this is derivative of how the Cutter ability works in modern games, though there is one unusual aspect. By holding the button, you can use Final Cutter rather than the boomerang. This move works as it always has in Smash, though with sound design like the newer titles.

Up - High Jump
This move is now Hi-Jump, a Copy Ability that debuted in Kirby's Adventure. As the name implies, this move involves Kirby leaping high into the air in a Superman-esque pose, damaging anyone who collides with him. You can move left and right during the ascent. By holding the button, you can charge up an even higher jump that also leaves a somewhat weak hitbox at the start.

Down - Bomb
Kirby's new Down Special is the Bomb Ability where he can use bombs to throw making them explode, you can bowl them towards opponents. But if you hold it too long, it'll explode covering Kirby's face in smoke as he shakes it off.
Grab - Kirby uses the Whip Ability

Pummel - Unchanged

Forward - Rolling Breaker

Backwards - Air Suplex

Up - Ultra Back Breaker

Down - Megaton Slam

(Throwing moves comes from Wrestler Ability)
Unchanged except time slows down (taking inspiration from Forgotten Land)

Big Rig Mouth
Kirby’s new faithful friend Elfilin appears and high fives Kirby before rushing forward entirely across the stage!

Any opponent caught in Elfilin’s rush attack will be launched into a cinematic final smash.

The opponents land on a broken highway where at the end you see an old run-down semi-truck.

Kirby and Elfilin land next to it and Kirby uses his newfound ability: MOUTHFUL MODE! Kirby inhales the semi-truck and turns into Mouthful Mode Big Rig Kirby where he has inhaled most of the 18-wheeler and he now controls it! With two honks of the truck, Kirby slams on the gas and the semi-truck barrels forward into the opponents, running them over and sending them flying back on the stage with high DMG and knockback.

As an added bonus, and no additional DMG potential, Kirby is seen driving the semi back to where he started the final smash, spitting it out, and the semi disappears in a burst of stars while Kirby gets back into the fight.
Still the same.
Still the same except Efilin dances with him

Those generic kicks and punches are from copy abilities though.

I don't care about that.

Sakurai never gives Kirby and games that weren't directed by him any better representation.
Well sure, but that's kind of an adjacent point. My point was that Kirby's punches and kicks are, in fact, from existing copy abilities.
