Idea - Young Zelda!

Me and my friend were talking about a young zelda, possibly with the ability to turn in to Tetra, her pirate counterpart, just like zelda/sheik.

Maybe in her priate form she could bust a knife on her opponent, or hurl bombs, maybe heal as zelda, but with much lag, like a casting time and delay or something?

What do you think?

Frist I'm going to shun the people that come in with the "zomg it's the same person clone LOL!".
Second, I'd like to say that this idea is actually rather interesting, and would easily present Tetra as a playable character, while keeping a similar form to the original Zelda character design (Zelda/Sheik).
While the younger Zelda's moves would be of course very different from adult Zelda's, as her magic isn't developed practically at all, they could prove rather useful in aid to Tetra's melee.
I agree with Tetra having bombs and a knife, maybe a kick or two, as well.
While 'young' Zelda, could as you say heal % damage at a decent amount and pace, but with sufficent lag as a downside. She could have smash attacks that have little knock-back, but can rack up damage easily, while Tetra could have the opposite. Or, maybe they could be equalized with smash attacks.
It would be interesting. ;D
Try thinking of a move-set.

I actually thought about this before, and if there were multiple costumes for Zelda, for every carnation of the character, WW's Zelda could turn into Tetra opposed to Sheik, but they would have similar moves with the same exact stats and such. Many of Sheik's attacks, considering you don't even really see Tetra fight in Wind Waker, would probably suit her.

As a seperate character? No. Don't even try and justify that one.

Sorry to reply to such an old post, but I didn't want to start a new one, if there's already an existing thread.

I came up with the idea of Young Zelda as a character by myself only today. Finding it intriguing, I tried searching for a thread and found this.

I already saw that there are some people who don't like the idea at all. But Zelda fans, like me, might actually like the idea, especially those that liked Young Link in Melee.

I thought that Young Zelda might actually share a few attacks/items that Link used in his games, after all, Adult Zelda also uses his magical spells in Melee. But Young Zelda doesn't necessarily have to be a clone.

Let's take a look at Zelda from Wind Waker, the first game where Zelda actively helps in a battle. Sure, her only attack are the Light Arrows, but there are several items Link can use that might fit to her personality.

Up B: With the Deku Leaf, she can gently hover through the air and knock everyone back who comes to close to her.

Neutral B: Zelda puts up the Magic Barrier and protects herself against all kinds of projectiles, thrown items and explosions. The barrier can only last for a short time.

Side B: Zelda charges the Light Arrows. If charged completely, they detonate in an explosion of light when hitting the opponent.

Down B: Well... either it's another item/attack I can't think of yet, or she can do a similar thing to Adult Zelda and transform into... Tetra!

No idea for attacks for Tetra yet, but as you can see, it's actually possible to make a Young Zelda without making her a clone. And I always preferred Zelda's younger version, and now I am hoping that she might one day be playable on Smash Bros.

Hmm I like the idea of this but I think it's time for some other zelda characters then the three triforce holders or forms of them
True, there are many more that will come first, such as Ganondorf and Young Link himself. Also, I would myself prefer Midna over Young Zelda, and I know that both Horror-Kid and Vaati are wanted characters.

Still, it's a nice idea, I think. And just the thought of playing as young Zelda instead of (or in addition to) her adult form somehow puts a smile on my face. :)

I think it would be funny if Adult Zelda's Down B turned her into Young Zelda- a smaller, weaker clone with faster moves and specials.

I agree whole heartedly with McFox. All the bad ideas are already taken though =)
I'm sure people can still come up with some pretty lame ideas. And I bet there'll be lots more too. It's annoying to always see ''OMG THIS CHARACTER 4 BRAWLZ!!!1''. After a while, those threads just get too darn annoying.

Well, sorry for having an idea I like and posting it on an already existing thread.

By the way, that this is a lame idea is YOUR opinion.

And for everyone else, I already gave reasons why she doesn't have to be a clone.

Is it wrong to let your fantasies roam?

Nah it's not. But when you scroll down to below the Character Specific forums, pretty much all you see is a thread for many characters that would never even have a chance of making it in. And I do like the idea of Young Zelda, I just think it's an unnecessary addition, as well as WW Link actually. I'd rather have a ReDead to be honest, instead of having the same character multiple times, even if it's with a different moveset.
As an alt costume for Zelda, I think this would be awesome to have though.

sounds more like an AT, not a full character. If I could have any Zelda character in brawl, it would be Zant. But even thats pushing it.
