Today Sakurai revealed Iceberg, Ice Climbers’ Final Smash. From the looks of it, this move looks like it has major abusing power compared to the Final Smashes of say, Kid Icarus’s Palutena’s Army.

<p align="center">Like everyone else, they need Smash Ball too. They do their high-five to each other and…</p>
<p align="center"><img src="/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/iceclimbers_071119b-l.jpg" alt="Let's ice these deadbeats!" align="middle" border="0" height="315" width="400" /></p>
<p align="center">… BOOM, a massive iceberg jets out from the bottom of the screen, taking over a majority of the screen.</p>
<p align="center"><img src="/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/iceclimbers_071119c-l.jpg" alt="Boo-yah!" align="middle" border="0" height="315" width="400" /></p>
Sakurai pointed out that the stage size won’t help you if you pick larger stages as demonstrated by the iceberg taking up most of New Pork City.
<p align="center"><img src="/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/iceclimbers_071119d-l.jpg" alt="That's cool." border="0" height="315" width="400" /></p>
Not only are ledges smaller and slippery, but only the Ice Climbers can withstand the effects of the Iceberg’s extreme cold.
<p align="center"><img src="/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/iceclimbers_071119e-l.jpg" alt="Iceberg's just crack me up... and your opponents too.." align="middle" border="0" height="315" width="400" /></p>
?With a move that is so encompassing, can we expect moves like this to affect the possibility of Final Smashes being allowed in tournament play?

Could this mean if Nana is dead that the Ice Climber's Final Smash is weakened kinda of like their up B? Or will a different, yet still weaker, Final Smash take it's place?

Edit: OR perhaps having Nana dead makes your alt Final Smash more powerful? Would you try and kill Nana, knowing it will make fighting people harder for that life to get your more powerful Final Smash and hope it kills them? This could add an interesting game mechanic to the Ice Climbers.

But this is merely the rampant speculation of a fevered mind... Did I just say that?

Where does it say that it comes up out of the ground? I'd much rather it falls out of the sky, hitting anyone underneath.

It's about time that some made an "Ice, Ice, Baby" joke

So... how in the world is this supposed to work for Lylat Cruise?! I mean, come on! There's no Iceberg that's that big!

Yeah, I kid. Nice Final Smash. But I don't use IC anyway. *Wobbles to Sleep*

I like the little touch they had that the surface has crappy traction to all except for the IC's who traverse it just fine  Too bad there is no wavedashing because that would be just serious WD to dsmash **** all over the slopes of the ice berg >:D

Well that was interesting... though this appears to be a completely different type of final smash then what's been seen so far. Because in most of the pictures the Climbers are not glowing anymore once the glacier appears so it appears to linger after the smash has been done. Not only that but it seems to change the physics and structure of any stage it's used in...

No. Read all the other answers you've gotten before asking again.
She was just asking for clarification, nowhere in the update did it say that iceberg was unavoidable. The only thing was that the size of the fs was determined by the size of the stage, so it could be avoidable, just highly unlikely.

i thought it would be more like this 2 walls of ice on both sides of the stage 1 ice climber on each side throwing ice down freezing everyone like this:
nana popo
