I own two Wii U GameCube adapters and I want to custom paint one

I don't think this belongs here, but I can't find a board related to Smash 4 paint customization. Mods can move this in the correct section.

So I own 8 GameCube controllers and I decided to get two official adapters since my friend has a Wii U and Smash Bros. I want to paint one of the adapters (since they only came in black) a different colour. I was thinking white but I wonder which colour do you think looks best.

Also, would spray paint be the best way to paint an adapter or would paint you use for painting work too?
