And also, stop complaining about the update! Not everyone celebrates Christmas you know seeing how its a Christian Holiday... So really, why would he put up a religious reference on his website, when only a small percentage of the world is Christian?

Well, Hyrule Temple did get a small mention in the New Pork City update before becoming a revived stage for Brawl, so there's a very good chance Knuckles will get some sort of mention... of course, this line of logic also backs Ness up a lot and I'm getting really tired of those arguments.

Snake has an AT, so Sonic is bound to have some sort of AT or item. Whether it be Knuckles, Tails, Eggman, or some other character, we have no idea. I think he just mentioned Knuckles because that is what people associate Sonic 3 with; the third character in the Sonic trio was introduced.

After seeing Gray Fox made an AT, I'm pretty convinced that Sonic's biggest friends (Tails and Knuckles, maybe Shadow) will also get ATs. I really don't think that him being mentioned offhandedly in a music update affects that at all though, it was just a piece of trivia Sakurai chose to toss out there.

Minor note on the second comment: 2 billion+ people (about 1/3 of the world population) is not a small percentage of the world, and some non-Christians do celebrate Christmas in some parts of the world, just ignoring the religious aspects. I do agree though that the update ignoring the holiday isn't anything to complain about.

Okay. One more time, I'll say it. I think that Knuckles is a shoe in for assist. I don't think Shadow will have any involvement in Brawl. Sonic will have a black color swap but thats all. Tails is the one I feel has potential to be playable if Nintendo decides to use two third-party characters from the same company. I know everyone knows that Tails is the perfect assist. But Sonic's Luigi is Tails. It be nice to see them team-up since we know Tails does have a potential and lethal moveset just waiting to be created.

once i saw that statement about knuckles, i immediately thought of what this could mean for knuckles. its possible that he is an AT or something but could also hint about him being playable. i know that his chances are low for another 3rd party spot but its always good to hope. plus his moveset is basically made up already
