It honestly seems that people should just pick the gender of bathroom they identify as. Non-binary people can use any bathroom they feel like.

I never really saw the point of transgendered bathrooms

It's an antiquated puritan value system that requires ladies and gentlemen to use separate public restrooms. Nowadays I see plenty of unisex bathrooms but there's still plenty of people in America who feel a physical male has no business using the same toilets as physical females...
That said I agree that a specifically transgender bathroom is...odd. it'd make more sense to just let anyone use any bathroom but this works only with single bathroom situations I guess. In schools or other public places with multiple stalls or whatever I suppose it'd be too uncomfortable for a vast majority of people to be intermingled. The US is pretty uptight with this kinds stuff generally speaking.
