I'm going to give you some information and you guess what character it is (or series). If you get it right I will tell you something special.

1. This character has only ever been "usable" in two games.
2. One of the games was on the NES, the other on the DS.
3. In one of the games he was a normal character, in the other he was a secret character.

I may provide more hints in a little while.

R.O.B. was only ever really "usable" in two games I would say.

Was he ever playable or interactive in anything else so that I can update my original post?

depends on how loosely you use the word 'usable' ..he was in warioware in a few minigames i think ..or some game that is just a huge compilation of minigames

The only thing I can think of is Wario and Pokemon Trainer but I swear they were both playable on consoles too.

Well, it's Pokemon Trainer, but he's only playable on consoles if you use a portable game to attach to it. Playable in Red, Blue, Green (Japan only), Yellow, FireRed, LeafGreen, and Brawl. Also seen in Gold, Silver and Crystal (which I forgot to count >_< sorry).

You can play him in many more games than 7.

I'm not sure what the Pirates vs. Ninjas thing is but based on your other sentence I think you're referring to the Ice Climbers.

Playable in one game and the Ninja reference make me think Sheik, but we don't know if shes in Brawl, and I've never heard of anyone considering her awful.

Um, Saki or Grey Fox, maybe? I don't know almost anything about them though, so they're just random guesses.

Ike has been in two games plus Brawl and is one of Fire Emblem's most popular Lords, so I'd tend to think not. Plus he really has no ties with Pirates or Ninjas.
