I found some down throw combos on characters

i have noticed that when i down throw captain falcon and little mac at 0 am able to follow up with a forward air then i tested it with other characters and some you can use a fair or a up air. the problem is that you can only follow up one string of these combos at 0 percent

Is this a true combo or a 50/50?

its most likely all 50/50s because i can't relie on training mode to tell me if its a true combo 100% of the time

Even 50/50 is extremely generous. Unless your opponent just falls without making any inputs for about half a second after they can act, it won't work. Also 99.9% of the time the combo counter in training mode works perfectly fine. BSD blew the issue way out of proportion.
