I desperately need help.

I haven't played smash 4 in a while. Today I put my cartridge in my 3ds and it needed an update. The problem with this is I have cfw 11.9 and I need a system update to access the eshop and download the update.(If I update my system it will brick it.) I literally cannot play smash and I'm kind of pissed. (For anybody that doesn't know, if you try to play smash without the update it won't let you.) Can anybody tell me how to update my freaking smash?

The most I know about homebrewing is only on wii u and switch so what I am going to advise is that you join the nintendo homebrew discord and ask from there. Sorry that this thing happened to u man.
