I thank all of you who even bothered to click this thread. This is about the Hunters we love joining the brawl. I myself am a Sylux supporter, and I want those who support the other eight to feel free to post here as well. If you wish to join, here are a few guidelines:

BTW welcome to the boards.

I am not against seeing the hunters in brawl, I think they could be very unique characters, but I dont know if we would see any in, but there is a chance, but not a large one.

Now, how exactly do Hunters have a chance? I mean, they all starred in one game, and they had as minor roles as Rundas, Gandrayda, and co. in Corruption. But, they're practically guaranteed a spot in SSB4. Give me facts, not some gay rules.

...It's just a character suggestion. How dumb would one have to be to get upset over someone not liking a character? It's the internet. I guess common knowledge isn't so common.

hey, i just dont like people being ganged up on for their character likes and dislikes. not everyone knows what dark samus is. at first, it seems like a clone. when i played the first smash bros, i thought samus was a robot. people believe what they first see

im praying for sylux as a playable character. i know people argue that hunters was the worst metroid game and that sylux isn't popular enough, but he has a loyal fanbase below the surface. just watch the opening video to hunters, try playing as him once, and look at a certain percent ending for a new metroid game. i can see him using the shock coil to steal health as a b move, and the delano 7 firing from the background as a final smash

Amen brother. I made a Sylux topic way back.

Sylux is very popular among non-hardcore Metroid fans.Those who really only played one or two Primes and Hunters tend to love him and the other hunters for the added characters to the series. He's no Ridley, but in just over a year has got a suprisingly large fanbase...

Metroid vets tend to regard Hunters as non-canonlogical and pretty crap (I think I'm a hypocrite there ).

I might get round to making a "SYLUX FOR BRAWL" banner (or kanden, or whoever). Just as soon as my mountanous biology coursework is done...

WindGuru, you have no idea how awesome a banner would be. Due to the wanting of any hunter, i think a banner with the heads of all the alien hunters would be sweet. But, as i've no idea how hard that would be, i will be pleased with something at all.

And psycho, im hoping for a hunter in addition to the dragon and dark samus. zelda had four reps, and metroid has sold about as well as that series.

I could see Trace as an assist trophy, using his sniper rifle from the back of the arena, cloaked so it is hard to see him. Spire could be an assist trophy in dialanche form or hit people with a magmaul burn.

Metroid hasn't sold anywhere near the games the Zelda series has sold, therefore it's unreasonable to assume they will have 4 characters

I don't think Metroid has outsold Donkey Kong yet, and it only has 2 characters...Some people even feel that's more than enough for it

More like a character and a half, from the looks of things. If you can't start a match with Zamus it's hard to count her as a whole character. I'd like to see another Metroid rep or two, I feel the franchise is deserving. It's biggest problem is it went from like 1994-2002 without a game release, and prior to 1994, it only had a few games. For a series that has been so sporadic (and lost it's creator in a car accident), it's doing well.

As for the hunters? I am not so sure. Each individual hunter has appeared in only one game have they not? And only Sylux has a fanbase of any of the hunters anyway (and he will probably be in another game as well), so I think any of their chances are pretty slim.

I agree that Sylux would rock. His cameo in Corruption had pwn written all over it. I'm not too familiar with the Hunters game, but I've read descriptions of their abilities, and any of them would make good Brawlers.

any way, i got my nintendo power yesterday and i discovered that NP HAD THE GAME FOR TWO DAYS STRAIGHT! They did not reveal anything big, other than there is an actual metroid AT. it is huge, and it flies on your head.

Hey antimatter, I do believe that was Sylux at the end of corruption. Try to remember the thing about double posting and yes consecutive posting is the same, i did not get the same kindness youko showed you. I was put to the searing blade and unbeknownst to me when i awoke four days later and with the blade still pinning me to the wall i found out that i was an immortal. I am going to take a thirty minute break, be back later.

Glad you joined, Chaosdragon. I do think it was sylux due to the unfolding and shape, but the color threw me off a little bit. probably the intention of Retro studios. so, everybody. i want to hear what you think each hunter should be:
My choice:
Sylux and Rundas: characters
spire, kanden, ghor: trophies
weavel, trace: AT
Gandraya, noxus: stickers

I'm sure Ridley would make a great boss at least, and Dark Samus could easily a perfect AT, appearing on the field and corrupting everyone with phazon.

i honestly do not believe that dark samus and/or the space dragon wont be playable; this is basically for a hunter as a fourth metroid rep.

Well because they shrunk the turtle dragon (Bowser) for ssb i do believe that the space dragon (Ridley) can be shrinked down to size for battle. The hunters most of the other ones should be AT's.

I will probably private message you to avoid the title from being stolen right from under our noses, I suggest you do the same with wind guru. Also have you unlocked the true ending for metroid prime hunters? Basically have you fought gorea pt2.

sorry for the triple post, but the thread was literally so old it wasn't on the brawl character discussion anymore.

does anyone think that sakurai hasn't unveiled the hunters because they are unimportant stickers, or because they could be involved in something important? for example, sylux as a subspace miniboss, rundas as an assist trophy, etc..
