My friend asked me and he said as a Sheik player, he already knows all his tech skill but he just can't get better, have the consciousness of mind to know what he's doing, he can't pick up on reads or general spacing. Can anyone give him some tips to have a greater consciousness when playing rather than just going on auto-pilot mode?

He basically has to force himself mid-match to think. It's not like tech skill or spacing where you can just enter training mode to practice it.

I've found that taking a 2-3 week break is very useful if I've been getting too auto-pilot.

What Eddy Said. Taking breaks can sometimes be the answer. It worked for me.
I did have an enjury so I didn't have much choise, but it did help on other aspect of my game.
