How to find people of similar skill leve

I'm sure there are many posts like this but I'm relatively new to melee and looking for people either just starting out as well or willing to deal with a new player.

Where is the best place to search for players of similar skill?

I'm talking specifically about netplay

Find your local Facebook group in this thread and look for people to play with there.

Most local scenes also have a Discord server, so you can ask around there aswell.

Play ranked on smashladder, and once you receive a rank continue playing with people of a similar skill rank
