how much does mario benefit from perfect pivots?

mario's low traction and average initial dash give him a decent perfect pivot in terms of distance. is it practical for his grounded combo game and/or his neutral in more than niche circumstances?

I would say his perfect pivot is definitely not useless. it can be used to bait out dash attacks from characters like Meta Knight or Falcon if spaced correctly. It can also be used as an edgeguarding mixup to keep your opponent thinking and to mix up combos on the ground. I wouldn't say its very useful against characters that easily outrange mario and space him out like Marth, Sonic, Corrin, Samus etc.
