how it does that ''lain'' chaigrab??

hi, i'm a IC user, and I have a LOT of trouble against MK :/ ..

For that, I used to watch some IC(lain) vs MK videos for know how to play against him, and I see that lain uses only a type of chaingrab (b-throw, d-trhow, repeat). Is that the most easy form to chaingrab a MK? and how it does that, because I see nana doing shielding after the d-throw.

b-throw,d-throw,then right when the "flash"appears on the ground,grab again,then you need to hold the grab button after you grab so nana will shield and slide towards popo.
