People say this is a positive matchup, but I do not see how.

Robin can wall Olimar pretty bad with Arcfire and generally just Levin airs (and Arcthunder if you really need to), and you can stop him from clashing Pikmin against Thunder if necessary by using Thoron instead. You effectively leave Olimar with no choice but to approach, and he doesn't have a single advantage on you in that kind of game.

Even if you don't want to play a campy game, Olimar's only means of walling is really Purple Pikmin, or F-airs in my experience so you don't particularly have a lot to worry about. He might pressure you if he latches Pikmin on, but it's very artificial, and you can tend to run right through it if you really want to play aggressive, which is a common mistake against similar pressure tools like Fox Laser. Just don't get baited into running in because you want to deal more damage than the Pikmin, because it can get you punished pretty hard.

Simply put though, all in all, he just provides less pressure and range than Robin unless he's literally streaming Purples at your face, and that's not a reliable gameplan. Top that with IMO weaker KOs and you have a fairly high advantage over Olimar.

The Oli MU will always be difficult though for most players, since the character is so unorthadox, but most characters have a tool or two that can just ruin him. The ones who don't will notably will lose the MU, but they're too few and far between in my experience.

Worse yet for Oli, his recovery is predictable, allowing you to really rack up offstage damage and/or just outright spike him when you need to, so even if the MU is pretty bad, one or two good hits can just end the stock there and then anyway.

Robin's biggest problem against Oli though is (surprise, surprise) Robin's speed. So don't get too frustrated if you can't catch Oli or dodge his attacks because a flustered player is where Oli really flourishes. Just change your gameplan accordingly and limit the room he has to move, and you'll usually catch him off guard (Oli actually has a lot of times where there's basically nothing he can do if they're not careful, and you absolutely can pressure those scenarios with Robin.). He can't pressure you forever, not even with 3 Purples, no character can pressure forever with correct play IMO.

Again, avoid treating Oli with the same gameplan as other characters - it's a common mistake people have when playing against him in general. Wall him and his Pikmin out and make use of the holes in his offensive game, like when he has no Pikmin, or when he's spamming them at you (-and you can drill right through them with Thoron.), and you should honestly be fine.
