There's this Marth that I play at weeklies that has immaculate spacing. I just don't know how to deal with it! I can figure out most other MU's or at least play around other characters' strengths, but against Marth it just seems hopeless. HELP PLEASE!

How do I deal with Marth's sword?

IMO, this is luigi's hardest matchup. Marth just kinda ****s luigi up even if they don't know the matchup, and if they do know it you have to play very, very well to beat them. I would advise reading ROFL's guide: http://smashboards.com/threads/rofl-tells-you-how-to-beat-marth.91241/
My personal advice would be to a) bait out attacks by wavedash dancing or other movement, b) use shield -> wavedash/vice versa or spotdodge, and c) clank ftlit with their fsmash if that's their chosen punish.
Its a crazy hard matchup, but hey, you were the one that chose a mid tier.
