Hi. Normally I'm not the type to create posts but I decide to post this because I wanted to interact with the community and hopefully get to know some of you. I been here for quite sometime and was a bit nervous, but got to start somewhere.
I. How did you get into Super Smash Bros ?
II. Who do you main and why ? ( feel free to list others too )
III. Are you intersed in competitive or casual play ?
I got into Super Smash Bros at a very young age. Though it was out around the time I was born, my dad bought me a GameCube around the age of 8 or 9. My first game was Super Smash Bros. Now, that I mention it, it was practically the only game I played on it. ( I had Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance and Deception, Street series, Mario Party, Mario Golf, Mario Sunshine, Need For Speed Underground ) My collection wasn't that big, but was fun. Being the Nintendo fan I am, I was super happy to receive this gift. I mean, all these Nintendo reps in one game was imaginable for me. My first character and almost last character, Ice Climbers.
I used Ice Climbers because I recognize them. My dad and I use to bring out his old NES console just play classic games and one of those games happen to be Ice Climber. It's a platformer that was released in 1985 with the goal of climbing to ride the condor. I loved that game and the bonus levels too. Call me weird, but hearing them jump and hit the blocks with their hammers was always satisfying to me. My Solder sister would tag along and be Nana and often got left behind, in short, she wasn't having as much as I was. Then when I saw in Smash which was convenient and shocking, I used them and mained them ever since. They are extremely fun and challenging characters to use.
At this time I was not interested in competitive play because I was so young and did not know. I used Ice Climbers in a more casual way as well. I did not know how wobble, chain grab, or do pass offs. When Brawl came around, I still used them more Casually and did not know how to advance things like that. To be honest, I would not use those trick understandably people didn't like it. But I was raised that if it is in the game, it's not cheap so I don't blame people for using what they been giving. It wasn't until Super Smash Bros 4 came out that I looked into the competitive scene. I picked up Wii Fit Trainer here because Ice Climbers were cut ( I used Jigglypuff back in Brawl and less in 4 ). Now they are back, I want to try to visit tournaments and get out there.
That about sums it up for me. I hope to get to know you all. ( sorry if this might be a common post, but I'm interest )
