Their current engine makes things look really nice from afar and really iffy up close. DK for example looks noticeably worse than in Smash 4 up close, but looks pretty good when you're just playing normally. Is it just me or does Smash Universe have terrible lighting? It looks Especially bad on Mario.

Did they mess up the lighting textures on him or something?
He looks Brighter/Washed-out when compared to his surroundings. The white highlights on the edges of his model are really noticeable.
In Smash 4, Mario's stache was pitch black, in Smash Universe, his stache is VERY reflective!
Just look at it! https://www.smashbros.com/assets_v2/img/fighter/mario/ss_5.jpg
It might just be the lighting on the stages in those screenshots, but it seems that a majority of the stages have this weird lighting.
I remember the Mario Galaxy stage had odd lighting like this too.
Just look how weird Kirby looked in Smash4 when played on the Mario Galaxy stage

When modding Smash4, models I imported always had lighting issues like this.
I wonder if the people working on Smash Universe might have imported the model wrong.
