How can I step it up?

What’s up guys! I just started playing SSBU, coming from playing super casual SSBM. I put in my time with practicing (Peach) and I also try to stay on top of watching videos for inspiration such as Samsora, Lady Luck Herself and Slayerz. I participate in a local tourney that is held every Thursday. I just can’t seem to break the wall into top 10. I know all about what I should be doing but my mind is sticking to survival mode over adaption. Any tips on how to break that mid teir wall and start playing higher level (Chessboard like) Smash?
