again, im not arguing. i just wanna know why GB and BG are considered different when they are the same thing(aka one boy and one girl). maybe its just a matter of how you want to say it . do you want to say BG or GB. something like that.

Some people are taking order into account, some people don't.

That's why you can answer it as 1/2 OR 1/3.

Both are technically correct, but it depends on how you look at the problem.

that is what i said/the article said at the beginning.


but why would order be important to the question?

So it can be 1/2 or 1/3? HAHA! So that nerd in my English class in high school was wrong. Maybe. I dunno. I was told a problem before that reminds me kind of that scenario. Actually now that I think about it, it might be completely different and that person was right, I dunno.

It was basically something like, there are 3 doors. One of them has a prize behind it. Say you choose door 2. Then someone tells you Door 3 does not have the prize, so it's either in door 2 or 1, and they ask if you want to switch to door 1, or stay with door 2. What I was told was that door 1 has 2/3 odds of having the prize while door 2 only has 1/3 odds. IMO, I figured "Hey, door 3 is no longer in the equation, so it's 50/50 now." But the other person was basically "Nope, 2/3 is the only correct answer."

Also, I'd say 1/2 chance for the other child to be a boy. I think of it as... you already know that 1 is a boy, so knowing that, they're no longer a part of the equation. All you're left with is the question of whether the other child is a boy or girl, so it's 50/50. I understand the 1/3 response too, it's just not my way of looking at it.

Edit: Nevermind about the question I brought up from high school English class. The nerd was right. I just thought about it if there was a higher number of doors... say... 1 million, and you pick a door, and then someone eliminates all but 1 other door, then chances are about 1 in a million that the other door has the prize.

Humans need to improve math, considering 0.9999999999999(repeated) = 1, and yet they're different numbers at the same time.

My mind was blown when I had a teacher explain that to me.

Just finished watching Casino Royal again and something crazy just hit me. Casino Royal came out the same year i first met and dated Amanda...2006. SkyFall came out and ended the "Bond Trilogy" the same year Amanda left me and ended our relationship......2012. HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!


But enough of that sad crap. Eva Green (Vesper Lynd in Casino Royal) is SOOOOOOO hot. Def the best bond girl of the Daniel Craig movies.

Also, i think i know the answer but out of these Daniel Craig Bond movies, which theme song is the best and worst?

Casino Royale was a pretty good song, and I'm a fan of Chris Cornell.

I don't remember the Quantum of Solace song at all. Will listen in a sec. After listening: eh. I like Jack White, but that song was pretty meh. The weakest of the three, as the movie was easily the weakest of the three.

Skyfall was also a good song, Adele killed it pretty hard, but I think I like Casino Royale a little better. Also Casino Royale had much better visual presentation.

Best Bond song is still Live and Let Die though. Snake Eater for best Bond knock-off song.

Damn, I'd been following that story on CNN since 11AM when there were no details and I was hoping it was just a shooting near the school. The insanity of all those people dying for nothing.
