First off, a BIG thank you to everyone for coming out to this. This was the most fun I've had at a tournament in a long time, and I was really glad to have Dallas and Houston as well as our secret guests Dojo, Cake, and PHANTOMX drive all the way down to Austin for this.

For everyone who doesn't know, this was the Texas premiere of Waseda-style doubles, a fun side event that originates in Hawaii. It's essentially randomized partners with character locks. DPhat added in the great idea to have it so that no A-tier players can use their mains. It created a LOT of interesting teams where players who would never team otherwise had the chance to play together, like BOWSER and Metaknight. Judging from the great response it got, it's going to be a staple at Austin tournaments from now on.

I'll throw up my shoutouts later. Sorry for the delay in getting this up, everyone--some guy who showed up at my fest Friday changed my router's settings, and my Internet still isn't working. :/

Also, how did everyone feel about the Twitter coverage? I tweeted 108 times throughout the event. If you weren't able to make HoM, did you feel the Twitter feed was good enough? Anything you'd like me to improve on at future Austin tournaments?

Had a great time at this. Car ride here was great as well as the ride home. The venue of the tournament was really unique and I liked it a lot. The tournament was ran very smoothly and ended extremely early.

All of my "big" sets were great. I had alot of fun playing Dojo, and I'm pretty sure you'll get me next time. Trela you are a aura abuser and if you ever reverse two / three stock another human being, I'm removing Lucario from every Brawl disc. Dphat, you play the Peach matchup the best - and I will not suicide game three with a lead ever again - glad we cleared the air bro <3.

Had fun meeting alot of new faces. Razer, we **** in teams - let's do this again sometime <3.
Good money matches to Denti, Polt, and Zigsta. Highlight reel status.

Shoutouts to Leaf for being an SS Tier Driver and never giving up on himself, Sync for **** Michael Jackson impersonations, Razer for "got ems!", and Trela for being broken.

Waseda doubles is teams with random partners but locked characters, ie I wrote down "Zigsta Bowser" and was forced to go Bowser throughout the entire tournament.

I apologize for getting super mad at this tourney at one point.

Instead of playing Illmatic in losers bracket, he upset Dojo very early in the bracket and I had to play him for freakin 9th. Losing to the 2 top meta's (Dphat and Dojo) early put me down a little, especially at a tourney that was paying out to top5. I'm sure Denti and K Prime understand my frustration too lol. I shrugged it all off (Ill was playing super good though, so he obviously deserves so much credit.)

Paw and I vs Zigsta and Razer game3 was extremely frustrating for me, though, and I blew up We got ***** by Gova/Jrugs in losers because I couldn't concentrate anymore. Really sorry about that Paw.

That side tourney was an extremely awesome idea.

Dojo - I need to aplogize for the bracket issue because I helped the TO seed. I should have caught it earlier and I felt extremely bad when he called your set against Cake. Illmatic - I couldn't money match you because I was too poor You'll prolly beat me next time anyway, though. How the **** did you get so dang good, effing beating DOJO in bracket.

K Prime - I'm so proud of you for beating Dphat You got pretty close against Razer and you know exactly what went wrong. Your going to do alot of damage at the next tourney, that slump is def over.

Poltergust - We didn't get to talk much at the tourney, but Zigsta's apartment was alot of fun. We never played in bracket for the first time in ever x) We should do a milk match sometime.
