Homing Attack restoring 2nd jump

I love how when you slam into the ground/platform with Homing Attack, and you come up with a little bounce, you have your 2nd jump restored. This really helps me out every now and then, so I thought I'd bring it up.

A question about this, though.. unfortunately, you only seem to get the 2nd jump back when HA bounces into a floor, not a wall or ceiling. The positioning of "floor" is a bit strange sometimes though, like if you're hanging onto the edge of FD, drop down, HA, and hit at different places on the lip... I get my 2nd jump back sometimes when I wouldn't expect it.

I dunno, might help with some edgecamping strats.

On that note, ledgedrop > jump > ASC cancel onto stage, is awesome. The ASC is dangerous, but it's fun to hit people with that :) since it's different than my usual, predictable Fair from that position.

Your post fixed:

Good thread Infzy, Homing attack has saved my life a bunch of times, but it kinda has some lag to it. It takes a few seconds to execute (or exeggcute).
Just keep that in mind.

Was simply putting it in a fashion more acceptable, wasn't aiming for perfection. This post in itself has errors but they are readable and don't disrupt communication.
But thanks anyway. I will steal that.

Always good to be reminded :')

Thanks, good information too know. Possibilities on other stages?

Any time that you touch the ground restores jumps. I usually use homing attack out of a double jump if I know my opponent will dodge, so I can 'regain' my jumps and continue on.

Kinda like the bubble shield bounce, but less cool.

Err, if you touch the ground in an SDR it doesn't restore your jumps :( but you knew that, I'm just being pedantic. And yeah, the HA bounce regaining jumps through a dodge = continual pressuring ftw!

Bubble shield bounce was so cool... ****ing Sakurai left out all of the neat stuff :(
:( siiiiigh, why did you have to remind me!?? (Tenki more to blame I guess) Ever since Melee, I was hoping for Sonic in smash, I always knew it would be awesome, he'd have his fireshield as side-B, electric shield up-B, bubble shield bounce could be his neutral-B since down-B would have to be SDC of course..... then BAWWWWWW sakurai ruined it...... I don't care if that moveset would have made Sonic worse, at least there would be diversity, and like, colour... not just blue sonic on blue fd... makes infzy blue :(

...... sorry *wipes away tear* didn't mean for this thread to degenerate to one of those n00b "bawww sonic's moveset is uninspired" threads we used to have so many of. I'll try to control myself.
