Hitbox.tv’s breakout Smash tournament Olympus, held on October 28th-30th, will be closing registration at the end of the week on October 16th. If you want to be a part of the biggest tournament to proudly host Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and Project M as featured games, you’re running out of time!

Organized by the PMTV team, in partnership with Hitbox.tv, Olympus is going to be one of the largest East Coast events of the year. PMTV, helmed by some of the best tournament organizers in the Project M scene, is no stranger to organizing tournaments, with several large regional and national tournaments under their belt.

Olympus is also the final event in the PM Circuit, which is also run by PMTV. Throughout the year, several large tournaments for Project M have been hosted throughout the country, and the top 8 placings of each tournament received “circuit credits”, or CC. The players with the most CC are receiving cash prizes and priority seeding at Olympus.

Aside from being a PM event, Hitbox.tv wants to expand into all Smash games, and the Melee and Smash 4 events at Olympus are being treated with the same importance as PM. In fact, several big-name players for each game are already confirmed for attendance, and all 3 games have their own $1,000 prize pool.

For Melee, expect to see Joey “Selfless | Lucky” Aldama, Hugo “DT | Hugs” Gonzalez, Will “Reno” Hsiao, Aaron “VwS | Professor Pro” Thomas, Hendrick William “DJ Nintendo” Pilar, Ryan “The Moon” Coker-Welch, and Michael “OBEY | Mike Haze” Pulido.

For Smash 4, some of the current confirmed players are Larry "eLevate | Larry Lurr" Holland, Jason "Immortals | Anti" Bates, Samuel Robert “Renegades | Dabuz” Buzby, Griffin “Fatality” Miller, Shawn “Infamous | K9” Bruce, Wesley “Circa | 6WX” Alexander, and Saleem Akiel “MVG | Salem” Young.

Finally, for PM, we’ll be seeing Arjun “VGz | Junebug” Rao, Jonathan “Sosa” Sosa, Aaron “VwS | Professor Pro” Thomas, Forest “EE | MrLz” Griffin, Anthony “FS | Gallo" Gallo, Brian “DVD” Sherbert, Pete “Envy” Grieco, Jake “R3 | Venom” Hefner, Michael “Emukiller” Silbernagel, Christopher “FS | Gurukid” Berrios, and Brandon “FS | StereoKidd” Boom.

As of right now, much of the event’s compendium is still available as well. Here’s the most recent trailer for the event:

Olympus will be held at the Tropicana Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Oct. 28th-30th. The venue is also hosting the GameAcon the same weekend, which tournament entrants will have free access to.

The event’s facebook page can be found here, and you can register here.

See you there!

Some minor corrections/additions:

1) The points awarded at each event was dependent upon the numbers of entrants at the event. It was sometimes more than Top 8.

2) All singles events have a $1000 pot *bonus*, and doubles each have a $500 pot bonus.

3) We will be streamed by Clash Tournaments, and all 3 games will have their singles and doubles brackets streamed. A final schedule will be released soon for your viewing pleasure.
