i just want to make sure this is understood...

down b goes under arrows, most of sonics airials come out faster than pits, and some how we have more range with forward tilt and forward smash than pit does in most of his stuff.

if you can, gimp him with homing attack

pit sucks at killing almost as much as sonic, so make the best use of recovery options.

Down-B doesn't go under arrows if the Pit has any sense of arrow control.

All Pit has to do is start his aerials like, a sixth of a second before Sonic reaches him, which isn't alot if you take into account Sonic's "telegraphed" aerial movement (can't turn for ****). If you even want to think about attacking him in the air, the most you can do to 'bait and punish' a Pit aerial (N-air/U-air I believe gives the most problems to aerial Sonic) is some kind of drop under>doublejump aerial or fall above Pit> D-air (for the stall>attack effect). Otherwise, he'll outprioritize you.

Granted, I haven't tried spacing B-airs on Pit yet, but otherwise, Pit's aerials will eat yours.

true. btw vs arrows ur best bet is a spindash simple because most of the time it will clank with the arrow and you will have gained distance. and btw this matchup will get better through practice. just dont be cocky and expect to lose alot more often because honestly pit vs sonic is not that hard for pit because he can play it like pretty much any char. you on the otherhand have to get through a very unique projectile and fast framed moves.

It's a stupid matchup discussion as long as:
1) Sonic brings up "lolpitez2gimp!!111"
2) Pit brings up "lolarrowsoverpowered!"/some spindash-only-sonic gameplay plan.
