Help on the 2 not Nintendo characters snake vs sonic match up

There is a really good sonic at area but I have no idea what to do
Most of the time I learn fast and beat them or get a close match but this time I have no idea how to play vs sonic
He rushes me down so I cant do any moves (I guess I'm too slow) the only thing I land is when I edge gard him after he does his side b or down b off of the stage but that's if im lucky

All of his spin moves have negative disjoint, meaning that they lose to literally any hitbox you put out (even jab will beat it). His tech rolls are pretty bad and his grab is awful. Up B is pretty punishable if he has to go through you so stay above him if possible and force him to recover low. Here's this set against a former-PR Sonic I had.

If he is approaching recklessly, try pulling a nade and shielding. If he's smart he'll shield too, so as soon as the nade explodes, sheild grab and up throw -> sticky or up-B Oos.

This works really well against Falcon also.
