Help on getting a gc to usb adapter

Im just getting into playing melee on the computer and am wondering what would be the best option for me. I run dolphin on a mac. I see there are many options out there and would appreciate some recommendations on what I should use.

I've had success with Hyperkin 4-port adapters. Adapters aren't a huge problem for most emulators. Just make sure it's set to Wii U before you try playing or it won't be detected.

I can only recommend the official adapter by Nintendo and the Mayflash controller adapter. You will be able to setup both using this guide.
Just make sure to set the switch at the back of the mayflash adapter to WiiU mode.
