Help on certain recoveries?

so this is a pretty straight forward question that i hopefully get an answer to quickly.
so when i play as ice climbers and use their side+B to get back on stage, it gives horizontal momentum, but it drops them pretty low fast. I've seen in tournaments they're able to stop that downward momentum. How is this done?

How is this also done with mario and luigis down+B when off the stage, to get upward momentum?

Mash B like a mutter f R

With the mario's only once off stage(being on the edge doesn't count) can You down b mash.

Luigi You have to charge on stage once before it's useable i have never gotten it off.
