Help needed downloading Project m EX (Hackless)

Hello, i need some help with downloading project M EX hackless. i have downloaded the main alm build and have dragged that all the the root of my 2gb sd card, that being a apps folder, game config, private, projectm, codes and boot.elf. from what i can understand i need to add some type of patch to projectm folder , so i downloaded this "PMEX Sept. 3rd Patch [DEFAULT PM STAGES]", which is from i understand the patches, it comes with a read me, clone id characters and a pf folder. i need to take that pf folder and put it in the projectm folder on the sd card correct? both pf files should be merged right? or replaced? is there a difference? i am doing this on a windows 8 pc. there are really no other posts about this and little to no videos either, this would be a great help.
