Yeah, like I had two that wanted to go but didn't want to lose money and get destroyed and 4 others had to work. Then John tried to pick up the library kids and 5 of them had plans to see a movie afterwards >_>

If one new group of friends starts playing competitively after a tournament, that is awesome. If that happened at every tourney, it'd be amazing.
