also found out the new box placement for shaco so i can now jungle better then ever (only use one pot between both red and mini golems)
goddamn, so much for my quest for golds meaning anything. Oh well, guess I'll just get my smurfs gold and my main plat.
According to their post, Gold is top 3%, plat is top 0.2% of playerbase, with 25% getting bronze and 10% getting silver.
TBH Silver was fine where it was, gold should have started around 1750ish, and plat at around 2k+ Would make more sense than this and be more normalized, instead of a what... 400 ELO window for gold?.
Still, only 10k out of their 5million players will get the skin, so it's still pretty limited in grand scheme of things.

The ult one I can take or leave but the others are so true
Make it rain is an exceptional skill. 310 AoE damage with a 40% slow, what the **** world is that a weak skill in?

Miss Fortune Ult is really good with the right combination. Trundle's pillar, Galio's ult, etc.
Also, Talon's portrait is so freaking cartoony looking compared to everyone else, but his in-game model is awesome. He's really fun and his ult has Lux-like cooldown.

I'm going out of state for an WCG qualifier tournament tomorrow and the goal was to power house spam to gold after the tournament at the venue because its open 24 hours a day (4 of us are like within 100 elo of each other, QUAD QUEUE GO)
I like how I'm getting a forum badge + a free skin.
BUT I wanted to work for it ><

1519 sometimes rounds upwards.
You used to be able to be both silver and bronze at 1494 (i've been both silver and bronze at 1494 [at different times, obviously])

after carrying the **** out of my bad team first game, i was one win away from gold.
in the game i just had i went against a 1900 smurf mordekaiser in mid.
he couldn't kill me so he ganked other lanes and went 15/1 (me pinging mia every single time)
riot will not stop until i ragequit their game, i ****ing swear.
**** elo hell, and **** everyone who says it doesn't exist.
edit: did i mention that i brought him to 1/4 health twice but our jungler didn't gank?
like any of you care. have fun with your undeserved gold icons.

There there my dear, I'll be enjoying my platinum icon
So talon... He's um. incredibly fragile before 6. but man at 9 you can farm like mad. end end game (when you have everything) i was dealing 1100 after armor with my ult, critting for 1400, bursting with E -> auto -> Q -> Auto -> ultimate enough to kill any carries clumped together.
he's too good mid-late but not good enough early. i dunno. if you don't have a good lanemate with you bottom though you pretty much can't farm until 9 and get destroyed.
his manacosts are too low. without any + mana regen in masteries, runes, or items i was able to infinitely harrass and farm with W at lvl 3.

That makes him fair if he's weak early but scales late.

no i mean he actually can't do a damn thing to save himself until 6 not that oh he's weak early so it's fair. like if at any point in the laning phase pre 6 the other team goes. let's attack talon. he's dead unless he can flash away. just straight up dead. and he's a melee champion. so you can either choose to farm, or die. or play with a very good player in lane.
not balanced weak. he is the equivilent of playing as a siege minion for 5 lvls.
Play him w/ a strong harass partner on bot if you want him there.
