sure, but early the mana cost > damage isn't worth the trade, since you have to get pretty close to your opponent to use it and they probably have more reliable early harassment tools

once its level 3 or so you can do so, but you need a level in your stun and W by that point, so you'll be at 5 at least

obviously this depends on the matchup, but you won't be beating up a brand or morde with that ever

ezreal, though, gets beat the **** up by continual Q pokes

Not really sure how to approach that. I usually harass people well with conflagurate but he would just silence me and I couldn't outdamage his heal with one spell. I figure I should just spam pillar but eh, seems hard to get my combo off when he just silences and we trade.

That's one of those lanes you just farm and only use your stun combo on if he drains you.

1. Out farm him: check
2. Ward: check
3. Take his tower: 3 second fear, 1.2 second silence, you can't cover all jungle gank options ever.

Purple does have a very slight disadvantage, and the matchmaker auto-balances around this to make the game a 50/50 win chance. We offset based upon distortions to the win rate that seem to occur.

It's very small, less than 10 elo. So, you might see the teams go something like:

Purple: 1625,1500,1550,1550,1550 (slightly higher average)
Blue: 1600, 1500, 1525, 1550, 1550

We treat the effect flat around that level. It's smaller at low elos, larger at highish elo, and highly variable at very high elo (as in, we can't seem to figure out what the effect is there). So, we just treat it as a very small disadvantage because that's what the overall data lines up to.

We aren't 100% sure which aspects of the map cause which problems, but build maps west-east now to avoid this.

I noticed that they realized this when I saw the layout for Dominion. They made it flat left to right instead of angled.

Didn't know that they tended to give purple higher overall ELO though.

It seems to be implied. That or the week after (since they HAVE released champs before sets of skins for a few of the more recent patches). Other possibility is that Season 1 will end when Dominion is ready for live play. Only thing that's for sure is that it's really close.

I believe Season 1 will be ending with the patch following Talon, but that's just my hypothesis. I think/hope they'll give us a little heads up before doing their elo reset, however that works.
