I like the surrender time, I rather lose a game in 20 minutes and player another, instead of dragging out the game to the point where we may win.

We had a bad experience with DanGR playing Morg :)

We managed to turn it around, though. Blitzcrank punches Fiddles a lot and fed Tryndamere roflcopters on things.
Yah I sucked that game LOL

^understatement

---

My only game with maokai I went catalyst->roa-> glacial shroud as core items. Seemed to work rather well. I took solo mid and harassed with saps->root in order to land the second part of the saps.

i dont like the matchmaking...

im sick of being lvl 20 and being paired up with 1 lvl 9, 1 lvl 14, and 2 lvl 8's but the other team has 3 lvl 30s...
Dont solo Q. Just Q with us. But for future reference it doesn't get much better. You will discover that being lvl 30 by no means makes you good. I had a game where our bird went 1/11. When I pulled him on lolbase he was nearly 50 wins under.

don't listen to Zac, he doesn't know how to play malz <3.

Malz + Rylais = 5.5 second slow (5sec w/mercs) at the 15% movespeed reduction. Don't bash it.

Malz works well with jungle fighting teams due to his strong zoning (he can kill you while you can't even see him, :awesome:). He's meh against the zomg initiators; pretty much just malphite, he can keep himself safe against most other initiators. Singed is annoying for him too.

most assassins other than leblanc don't really like him much either.

IMO he can fit into most team comps, he can just lose to specific team comps. Any hard core mobility team without the team mates to handle this will crush any team fight dominance he can have (so a team with singed + sivir is the most insanely annoying thing for the guy to handle, pretty much).

So

1. He needs a team that can force team fights.
2. He doesn't like "IGNORE EVERYTHING IMA COME GET YOU" characters (Malphite, Singed, Kinda olaf).

Pretty much you save your ult for the assassins who try to get to you.

He synergies well with Sona and Soraka as supports. Hates janna, doesn't get much out of zilean.
He prefers Melee AD carries on his team compared to range; he loves that **** initiation with xin and then just blowing everything up that xin's fighting. Pretty much anyone that can attack and stop the enemy moving makes team fights insta-won; hence why he dominates jungle fights. More so than Sivir and Anivia, imo.
If you want a ranged AD carry, Ashe is best for him - the aoeing slowing plus their combined uber range plus ability to insta gib anyone with their ults - they're able to help keep each other safe while packing stupid amounts of damage. Pre-roaming, Malzahar + Ashe is a guaranteed kill on one person - anywhere, towers are not safe.

I've played games with Urgot, Malzahar and Warwick; three suppressions with all that early damage is just OP for ganking in the 10-20 minute range and basically forces the other team to stick together at all times. Flash+ult with Urgot into WW ult into Malzahar = dead mid lol. And yeah, towers don't do a thing for you at that point.

They messed up the IP gain yesterday. It's back on track today and they gave 10 win IP boosts to everyone who played yesterday. I just got 396 IP for a game that was probably around 40 minutes because of the boost.

Yeah, but it's still going to be overall less per game unless your games last 38+. I've noticed people play a lot more turtley than they used to because of this.

Man... I don't get people...
I have like
30k IP spare.

Are people really that "OMG IP" that they'd try to extend games that much?

I get a lot of out trying to win games ASAP...
"OMG ITS 3 minutes until they can surrender, LETS GO GO GO GO GO GO"

I already absolutely despise people who refuse to surrender when games are truly and utterly lost (like you know... when the enemy team is up like 4k+ gold from dragons, similar amount in towers, and god knows how much more gold from the difference in kills)... are people going to put me through hell just so they can get more IP?

Yes they most certainly will.

It's called Anime syndrome. They believe, that despite all odds, they can and will prevail, despite failing grades, low IQ test scores, poor sports skills, low hand-eye coordination, being born into less than great circumstances, and horrible luck with the opposite sex all wishing to have a word with them.

Because you know, they're different from other people, they're... unique.

I've played enough games with Zac's Malz to know that he does know how to play him.

Rylais is certainly a popular build with Malz, but I've had MUCH more success building similar to Zac's suggestion. Building a strong mana base early is very important, and I usually scoop a blasting wand before grabbing my defensive item so I even have a nice AP boost in the early game and enter the mid building towards the bVeil/Deathcap.

I do wonder what would happen if I swapped my bVeil for Rylais as my defensive item. I might have to look into this. Tear -> Boots -> Rylais -> Deathcap -> ?!?! I don't know if that is much more expensive from going my current route. Intriguing.

Also I don't like fighting Malz in the jungle, as there are too many angles of approach.

Anyone can excel with subpar builds (and/or champs) if they're good enough. Perhaps Shaya knows that Zac has had success with Malz, but also thinks he could do better if he used a better build.

It made me lol just because of the context it was used in :chuckle:

He's saying that anime inspires people to never surrender. That's pretty funny imo :awesome:

Everyone should have banshee as a defensive item by mid/late game. It is probably the best item in the game.

My point was that I don't think Zac's build is subpar, which I base on my experience trying Rylais, (albeit probably not in the most efficient way, hence my concession to look into using it optimally.)

Perhaps Shaya knows that Zac has had success with Malz, but also thinks he could do better if he used a better build.
Perhaps.

I'm intrigue by the Rylais idea, but it will delay my bVeil so it might be more of an option in an AD heavy game.

lol. I absolutely agree with him tho. *****es need to learn to let it go.

Anyway the ppl at riot are jerks tho. Making it so that you can surrender at the 20 mark, but ALL ppl get significantly less IP. Why should team A get less IP because team B wanted to surrender that early?

Oh, that's not it. They know very damn well what they're doing in this regards, they're just trying to pawn it off as a good thing.

What they don't really know how to do all that well is balance, I'd say.

Tank Cho too strong!

Also my favorite quote from this whole IP ****storm

Phreak: "We need to start looking at IP as more a per hour system then a per game system"

Great because I wanted to put in a 9-5 when playing LoL

Nice! Happy Birthday!! Enjoy yourself.

Also, yes, we need to play when it isn't "The Hour of Brazilian Power."

This is a pretty important thread to read if you're not aware of the intricacies of skill shots, and the importance of aiming at your opponent's feet.
This is also good to know for people who like to dodge skillshots. ^^
