I've lost like 1 out of the past 10 games I've played with Lux. Some of those wins were being lucky due to the other team getting dumb people, but that's not to say my teams were always stellar. I really do think I've found my favorite character in the game.

Maybe it's just at my level, but, Karthus really seems like a douche in solo queue. I kind of want to try him out because of recent events and see how far I can snowball in my spawn pool without playing the game.

Also, his ult was doing over 700 damage to me when I had 200 mag resist and 4k HP. His only mag pen was sorc shoes at the time.
I was Nunu. And the only character on my team who could seem to kill him without dying with him.

depends on team comp imo...

if you have someone like anivia.... or if you have zilean on your team and someone awesome like olaf....

If he is so fed that your team can't afford banshees (or any magic resist) at all yet, then yeah, he'll steam roll.
