Wolf is always the best secondary cause hes easy strong and has range but I think roy bowser rob or Megaman could work as well

I have Meta Knight as a secondary with Samus to cover her weaknesses. If you are looking for a top tier though, Olimar is also a pretty good choice, since he has a great recovery and defensive / reads based playstyle like Meta Knight's, as well as fast/powerful aerials.
