Hi Guys,
My name is Alex (Twisted), from Ecuador , Im new in this forum and well searching for help i found this page that seems to help ppl with any questions of anything related to smash... I'd like to specifically talk about Melee.
I really loved that game since the begining.. unfortunally i didnt have a gamecube console to practice so i only played in my friends houses few times... then brawl came out and well ppl here didnt stay with melee but for me was a chance that my friends will letme practice with their old game cube.... a year ago i started playing and i didnt realize that this game will be sooo mainstream and professional in other countries... specially in USA. All started when i was searching for tips of sheik and marth, finally found some combo videos but then i saw tournaments (ROM, FC, APEX, EVO, MLG, TG6, KoC etc etc) and i was like OMG this game is soo important in USA.... and then learned that everything i suppose to know about that game was a complete lie! xD all the technicall skills like SSHFL.. wavedash, tips of aproaching, edge guard, and many many other skills i didnt even consider to learn coz of the difficult ... now at least i understand some things.. wave dash.. xD!... I saw M2K, mango, PC Chris, KDJ, ISAI and i got the feeling that i was and ant in compare of elephants! xD... now i started alone to make few tournaments not a big deal but some players get intersted in a game that was replaced but something "better" called brawl.... i explained them im not doing a brawl torunaments coz i think its not somehting enjoyable to watch either to play... And well we make our first tournaments i was so excited xD got 2nd place with my friends and other players of my college.
I would like you guys if have any opinion when a smash commuunity is about to be created any advice of how a tournaments shuld be made... rules.. stuff like that..
Im nothing compared those guys i mentioned but i really want to improve my self in this game to show ppl that this game can be sth very powerfull , amazing to play and so much better than brawl..
Also i have the videos of some matchs of that tournament i would like you guys to watch and tell me where can i improve... what am i doing wrong...anything will be apreciated
