I personally wish that Microsoft will get involved more with Nintendo's online ecosystem in general.It has always left much to be desired. Even Smash's Online rooms are horribly done.(It makes no sense why I cant pick a character while im waiting for someones match)

I think Microsoft's perspective on Nintendo is a little bit different than Sony's. My guess is that Microsoft doesnt view Nintendo as a competitor as much as Sony anyways.

First Microsoft and Sony are tech giants in general and their portfolio extends past games so they have that in common.

Second, Nintendo has always had great IPs and innovative ideas but they have separated themselves from sony and microsoft in a negative way when it comes to technological advancements. Nintendo hasnt been able to compete on that front since the gamecube, and even then it still lagged behind.

I’ll just say that if this means I can play halo on the Nintendo switch in the future... I’ll lose my mind. AND IN A GOOD WAY. Halo was my game back in my highschool days. Of course my best case scenario would be for master chief to star in smash but hasn’t he already been deconfirmed on Twitter?

Alright so if that Xbox Game Pass thing turns out to be true, do you know how great that'd be?

Bioshock, Ori, and Halo make their grand debut on a Nintendo system. That's pretty surreal to think about for me. Never thought I'd see a day where playing Bioshock and Halo on a Nintendo console wasn't farfetched.

But more importantly than that, BANJO KAZOOIE BACK ON NINTENDO CONSOLES BAYBEEEEEE!!!!!

Ha, I remember saying "What if Halo Infinite comes to the Switch?" in MarlonGamingNation's chat one time and he said it's never happening. Now I wonder what he has to say about that now if it ends up being true.

Halo can finally come back to life again. Halo 3 and Reach finally repopulating after all these years... All I have to say is:

"Dear god, it's beautiful."

I agree, and that's one of the reasons why I don't like Quickplay. I don't like Quickplay most of the time since I have to exit every time I want to change a character, and the preferred rules I choose doesn't always work. I also have problems when it comes to Battle Arenas for specific reasons I have below:

1. Sometimes I get kicked just for joining lobbies without even playing one match, even after I wait for a long time. Sometimes I also get kicked after winning my first or one match since the host gets salty.

2. I don't like how lobbies can fill up to 8 people but can only play 4 in one match at a time. Like, what's the point in making the lobbies up to 8 people per room if you can't even have 8-player Smash? It gets really stupid when people make 5+ player rooms because the person in 4th place gets moved from playing and, since they can't play and have to wait, they basically just leave. This is why I only join 4-player rooms. THOUGH, I'd love to see Battle Arena get an 8-player Smash option sometime, and hopefully it's in version 3.0.

3. This is starting to become a common trend now... I do not like it when people make lobbies just to "have peace" in games; yes, the objective of the game is to have fun, but literally doing nothing and having "peace" for the next 5+ minutes gets boring fast... this isn't Super Peace Brothers, this is SMASH Brothers.

4. This has only happened to me two times and it's very rare, but I got teamed up on two times in a free-for-all lobby by two people and it was so annoying, and eventually I beat them and left. If you want to fight as a team, make it team battle; don't be an ass and team up on one player in a free-for-all match.

if joker gets a female alt im going to be a lot more interested in joker then i already was, that’s for sure. :4pacman:

regarding reggie, he had quite the run. hopefully bowser can live up to his joke status while also being a good president. the future does look bright though!

So, waking up this morning, I went about my day and Super Mario RPG came into my head again. I felt kind of low thinking that our boys still aren't back yet, and we don't know when they will be back. We don't know if Nintendo or Square will ever do that again. I started thinking of headcanons, potential that could have been realized, and what kind of great things Geno and Mallow could have been used for in the main series or future RPGs.

Then, I realized that I have ideas, talents, creative abilities, art, and writing all on my side. I've been writing for many, many years, and drawing for even longer still. If Nintendo and Square won't utilize Geno and Mallow, someone should... and who better than someone who already has so many ideas for them?

Don't feel too low if Nintendo and Square won't deliver, guys. Because even if they don't... someone will.

Time to work on a special, secret project I've been brainstorming for months. :) We're tired of waiting on corporate for decades for fruit... so someone else ought to take action.

Dang im really interested in this project of yours can't wait to see it! Reminds me of a project I also want to do but idk how to mod Ds games (emulated Ds games)...or in general -3- (for a clue, it has something to do with that peach glitch in the AGDQ run, also if anyone knows how to mod id love to get help with that cause I really want to make this!)

Just be careful with modding, because heavens knows Nintendo is extremely picky about their IPs being used. Then again, so is Square, but I'm not experienced enough with them to know just how stringent they are. If you make anything that's even beyond being 'decent', you risk getting C&D'd, especially since Nintendo is cracking down harder on illegal emulation.

That being said, I'd really love to see a great hack of one of the Mario & Luigi games to feature a new story with Geno and Mallow in it. If we don't get anything official like that from Square and AlphaDream, that would be amazing. That being said, distribution of ROMs, emulators, and stuff is prohibited on SB, so you might want to take discussion of that stuff elsewhere.

As for my project, well...

All I'll say is that I'm sure we all want certain characters in SMRPG to be expanded on, including one that is even more mysterious than Geno. ;)

Oh yeah! I totally forgot about that ahh, c'mon Nintendo you just ruined my fun... I also didn't know about that rule so thanks for the heads up! I'll just take that to gmail then though I guess it'll just be a private project for me then :/ (also ooh~ now I'm even more curious ;))

It's probably more of a personal project, all things considered. It's nothing that anyone else can do much for, considering I'll be doing the writing and the art for it (to which art will be its largest component). If I ever need a hand for some reason, though, I can contact you and we can see what we can do. Alternatively, we could also do something else SMRPG-related that's more of a collaborative effort than my current project. After all, apart from other artists, I don't think anyone can really contribute much to this overarching story idea I have...

... but, oops. Can't say too much more. Heheh.

ETA: Oh, in fact, we are working on Operation Starfall's website, so we could always do with more help on that front!

So I thought about something.
In the code it says stuff about there maybe being a female joker alt right? Then how come no insiders knew about that? How does no one know a single thing about Joker STILL. But everything about Erdrick and Steve?

I frankly don't know. I mean, everything seems to be lining up for Erdrick, so I'm going to presume he's in the Fighter's Pass and set my hopes blazing down on Geno for misc. DLC or a second season (because I don't want to get burned worse than I already am lmao). The Steve stuff that we've heard, such as Verge's fake information and 5chan leaks with no credibility, is useless at this point, so I wouldn't say he counts. Erdrick, however, is a very odd case, especially with insiders saying he was likely planned for the base game and moved to DLC.

That right there, that last bit, makes me think Geno isn't out of the running, even if Erdrick is confirmed. Remember, Sakurai said no characters were removed from the project plan. If Erdrick was planned for base with Geno as DLC, that would just mean we'd get both for DLC, with one being in Fighter's Pass and another for misc. DLC of some kind. Not only that, but Geno is also from a completely different branch in Squeenix. He's from Squaresoft, whereas Erdrick is from Enix. They really have very little comparison to one another beyond sharing an umbrella.

It's data they found in the game (pre-patch 2.0)
It listed costume 06 as having a ponytail and (code)named jane.

At least that's what it seems like.

The Joker thing is probably nothing more than his Dancing Star Night Costume. People are blowing this way out of proportion. (If this amounts to something at all, and isn’t like the whole thing about the L02 stage)
