One of the most prestigious Smash Bros. event series, Genesis, is building up towards its fourth installation. A trailer can be watched with more detail & information below, and a registration form can be found here.
Four New Games
Catherine, Rivals of Aether, Towerfall, and Street Fighter ($1000 pot bonus) have been announced as side events. Players have a 3 game, 4 event limit across the board. This means if someone enters Melee Singles and Smash Wii U singles, they can only play one game on Saturday, but for those registering only one Smash game, they can pick two games.
Player Voting & Compendium
As many may remember from Smashboards' coverage of The Big House 6's compendium, the player nomination system is back for Genesis 4. Player voting is available right now and the compendium will be launching on the same link on Friday morning.
There's two big changes to Genesis 4's nomination process compared to The Big House 6:
1. Anyone with an account can submit.
2. Smash 64 players can submit nominations!
Registration, Location, and Day 3 information
The event will take place at the San Jose Convention Center. Many hotels are located nearby or inside the convention center. Registration from today until November 28th is $70, and November 29th to December 26th will be an $80 venue fee.
Day 3 will be taking place in the San Jose Civic Center. People are not required to buy passes and can just view Top 8 from across the street in the main balroom. Top 8 tickets have a seating chart here with $30 for floor seating [400 limit] and $20 for Dress circle seating [1800 limit]
