Smash 64 doesn't exactly have a long list of good stages, so I created a way to fix that through a GameShark code.
So, what does this all do?
This code will change some stages into other stages to put it as simply as possible.
Here's a full list of what it does:
Yoshi's Island - Removes cloud platforms
Saffron City - Chooses Battlefield (Fighting Polygon Team stage)
Classic Mushroom Kingdom - Chooses Final Destination (Master Hand stage)
Saffron City - Chooses Metal Cavern (Metal Mario stage)
And the last thing it does is it prevents Final Destination from running the Master Hand code, which in VS mode will crash the game.
Because I'm not great when it comes to creating cheat codes for games, here's a list of credits from people that made these initially.
Madao - Created a code that checks which stage is selected.
Mr. Bland/Guy Perfect - Created the Master Hand Bypass code that prevents FD from crashing.
FGUG2021 - Created a version of the Master Hand Bypass code that works on NTSC-J.
The code conversion for the Japanese version was partially done by me. The Japanese version is currently the only working physical copy I own, and I know that the Japanese version has codes offset by value 2040, so I fixed up the codes to work. The Master Hand Bypass however didn't really work with that, so huge thanks to FGUG2021 for creating a version that does.
I am currently trying to get a proper code that allows for a timer to appear in stock matches, likely done with Madao's detection values, but it's a work in progress and I think this code should work quite well for what it does.
