We need a stickied topic on how to locate your .ISO game version. You can't follow the "Maker Code" from GC tool, so you have to go by the date, right? Does anyone know the dates for each version, and whether this definitely signifies the version of the iso?

or you could just play the game and look for the version differences. seriously....

1.0 if you can super jump with link, you have this version.

1.1 no super jumping, but bowser can flame cancel.

1.2 no flame cancel or super jump

Yeah but if you're like me and have like 10 different isos accumulated over the past few years, and want to figure out the versions of all of them, there must be an easier way. Extracting the .dol and comparing file sizes seems to work alright, but my modified .dol files have different file sizes somehow and yet still work.

starting up the game 10 times to go into training mode 10 times with the same 2 characers to figure out what version they are, is not that hard.

Isn't there a difference with ganon's nair also from 1.0 to 1.1?

Yeah, but its not that easy to notice compared to a super just or an auto start up bowser flame

You can find a comprehensive list of regional version differences here. :ganonmelee:'s nair hits on frames 7-8 and then 16-17 in version 1.0, whereas it hits on 7-8 and then 20-21 in all other versions. The MD5 checksums also differ, though if the ISO was obtained by any method excluding ripping it yourself, they might not match any of the known values.

This is inaccurate. 1.1 has super jump.

This may seem unrelated, but doesn't the daisy trophy have an extra eye on the back of her head in version 1.0 and not on the other versions?
