Sorry if this thread is in the wrong place, I'm new and I can't seem to find any smash 4 help subforum.
Recently I got a new GC controller and adapter (the controller is not the new smash gc controller and the adapter is not the official one). Unfortunately, I can't get it to work even though I followed the instructions on the Nintendo website.
1: Plug in the black and gray USB chords (at this step the power button is red)
2: Turn on wii U
3: Plug in the gamecube controller into the adapter
4: Boot up Smash 4
5: Fail
6: Post complaint on smash forums
Give some advice if this has happened to you
Also I got it to work a month ago I think
