Why is it that the control stick has the octagon slightly tilted while the c stick is straight? Is my controller jank or are they made like that?

the control stick should be very slightly rotated to the right. that should be correct, unless it's not first-party - then it might be a defect on a knockoff.

i can imagine it's based on the way people hold controllers! the easiest "up" for your thumb at that angle isn't an exact upwards direction.
