Requirements:
  • A computer of some sort. Windows, Mac and, Linux, will all be compatible!
  • An internet connection (WARNING! if You are reading this you have one =p)
  • An SD card reader
  • An SD card (A full size SD card, Up to 32gb in size should work)
  • A USB stick or HardDrive (Anything 2gb or above should work, but I recommend 8gb minimum)
How to hack Your Wii (Skip This part if you have hacked Your Wii)
This guide assumes Your Wii is running the firmware version "4.3"! To check Your firmware version go into setting and look at the top right corner!

Step 1) Turn Your Wii on, and turn ON Wi-Fi!

Step 2) Navigate to Your Wii's Mac Address. A guide on doing this can be found here https://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/includes/rvl-ht-int-find-mac-address.jsp I would have written this my self, but why do that, when Nintendo has done it for Me?
Copy Your Wii's Mac Address and head over to https://please.hackmii.com on Your computer.

Once at the Letter Bomb website,
  1. Choose Your Wii's system OS, 4.3 E,J,U,K
  2. Put Your Wii's Mac Address that You copied into the website.
  3. Make sure that "bundle the hackmii installer is selected"
  4. Verify that You are not a Robot
  5. Choose to cut the red wire or the blue wire. (It doesn't matter which one You choose)
Step 3) Format Your SD card to Fat32 (A google search will help You), extract every thing in the zip file that You get onto Your SD card root!

Step 4) Put Your SD card into Your Wii. Go into the Wii system mail (The little envelope icon in the bottom right corner),
Look for a red Letter with a bomb in it, and click it (You may have to go forward or backwards a few days). The Icon will be identical to the one on the Letter Bomb website!

After completing steps 1 - 4 continue on, following this guide https://wii.guide/hbc.html
If You are able to install bootmii as boot2, I recommend using this app https://wiibrew.org/wiki/BootMii_Configuration_Editor so that bootmii does not boot everytime you power on Your Wii.

Once done with the previous guide follow this one https://wii.guide/bootmii (This step is technically optional but highly recommended, as if offers another method of brick protection)
Once done with the previous guide follow this one https://wii.guide/priiloader (again, it is optional, but it offers extra brick protection)

For installing cios download this Direct Download
and extract its contents onto Your sd card. Insert Your SD card into Your Wii and launch your newly installed HomeBrew channel!
Once You are in the hamebrew channel You should see a new app called "d2x cios". Select it. and click launch. Once it has booted click continue, and configure the options on the screen to look exactly like this (The text at the bottom of the screen can help You navigate and configure things):

Select CIOS <v10 beta52 d2x-v10-beta52>
Select CIOS base <57>
Select CIOS slot <249>
Select CIOS revision <21008>

(These setting are the settings recommended to me by the programmer of the popular homebrew app USB Loader GX)
Click A to install. Once Your cios has installed click B to exit.

Congratulations!!! You have successfully home-brewed Your Wii!

How to install and use Nintendont

By downloading this pre made Nintendont package I have created, You can skip Steps 1 - 4.
Download it here: Download (Mega.nz)
Extract it and continue on with Step 5.

In this guide I will be using MMMod created by, send0r.de

Step 1) Download MMMod here https://send0r.de/Nintendont/Mr. Mysterio's Mod/

Step 2) Create a folder called "Nintendont" and place the "boot.dol" from the download into the folder it.
Step 3) Use Your preferred text editor to create a file called "meta.xml" and copy/paste the following into it:

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" standalone="yes"?>
<app version="1">
<name>MMMod (Nintendont)</name>
<coder>FIX94, crediar, send0r.de</coder>
<version>v5.486</version>
<release_date>20180000000000</release_date>
<short_description>Gamecube Loader</short_description>
<long_description>Original Nintendont Commiters: GerbilSoft, JoostinOnline, GreyRogue, Howard, Cyan, nastys
MMMod was created by, send0r.de

Project website: https://send0r.de/Nintendont/Mr. Mysterio's Mod/

Nintendont allows you to run GameCube games on a Wii or Wii U from an SD or HDD device.
MMMod allows you to have custom loader themes, backgrounds and a, GameCube BIOS Animation!</long_description>
<no_ios_reload/>
<ahb_access/>
</app>
Step 4) Download/Save this image
and place it into the Nintendont folder You created. Make sure that it is titled/named "icon.png"!

Step 5) At this point the folder You created (or extracted) called "Nintendont" should have these three files in it:
  • boot.dol
  • icon.png
  • meta.xml
If You have verified that the Nintendont folder has those files in it, place Your Nintendont folder in the "app" directory on Your SD card.
Congratulations!!! You have Installed the app! Now You can add games, like, Smash Bros. Melee!

I will not provide links to any ISOs or Roms!

You will need a Super Smash Bros. Melee ISO

Step 1) Plug Your USB Stick or HardDrive into Your computer. Format it as Fat32!

Step 2) Open Your newly formatted storage device in a file explorer of your choice. Create a folder on the root of Your Storage device called "games"

Step 3) Create a folder in Your "games" directory called "Smash Bros Melee" or "GALE01" (it really doesn't matter what You name it but this will be convenient). Copy Your Melee ISO into the folder You have just created and rename it game.iso! This step is imperative to Your success!

Step 4) Plug Your storage media into the outermost USB Port on the back of Your Wii and power on Your Wii. Launch the HomeBrew channel! Select Nintendont, and click launch.

Congratulations!!! If You have followed the steps correctly You have working Nintendont Setup! Don't go away yet though, I have some final steps on how to make the setup work as great as possible!
So out out the box We will need to do some configuring to Nintendont to make it as great as it can be.

Step 1) Out of the box Nintendont has a different controller setup. WE need to edit the setting to have proper controls. Not fixing this will result in bad wavedash and dashdance (among other things) muscle memory. Once in Nintendont click on USB to load the game(s) on the storage device, once in the second menu press b to activate the settings menu. Scroll all of the way down and set "Native Controls" ON!

Step 2) Maybe You don't have a gamecube memory card? Once again activate the setting menu scroll down to "Memcard Emulation"
and set it to ON. Scroll down to "memcard blocks" set this to 251. Leave "Memcard Multi" OFF.

Congratulations!!! You have a fully functional and working Nintendont setup!

If you use Memory Card Emulation, like I do, You might be stumped as to how you can get 20XX TE working? Not any more!

Step 1) Download the .raw save file of 20XX TE Direct Download. Make sure this file is called "GALE.raw"

Step 2) Create a folder on Your storage device called "saves" (if you don't already have it), and place the "GALE.raw" from the 20XX TE download into it.

Step 3) Boot Melee using Nintendont and launch 20XX TE as usual.

Congratulations!!! You have a fully working 20XX TE setup on Nintendont!

For troubleshooting the people on https://gbatemp.net will be able to help you much better than I.

This method also will work with 20XX Training Pack, UnclePunch Training pack, and any other GameCube Game compatible with Nintendont.
