Freezing at results screen?

So I recently started using texture hacks and PSA's, but have run into a minor problem. On occasion, the results screen after a match will freeze and I have to restart the system. Is this something wrong with a code that I'm using or what? Any info/advice you guys can give me would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

P.S. I'm using the textures in Brawl+. I'm not sure if that would affect anything or not.

Are you holding down buttons on your controller when you enter the results screen? Stupid question but that's how it freezes for me.

I'd assume that's it. That's how it happens to me to. I happens when you are pressing L, R, and perhaps the joystick at the end of the match going into the results screen. It's replicatable. Not sure which of the dozens of codes that we use is responsible for that...

happens to me all the time without pressing any buttons, as far as I know, the source has not been figured out yet

have been told it was the throw modifier, so I turned it off, but that didn't help

Also I can't play on Corneria cause it freezes my Wii after 30 seconds

I don't use B+, nor PSA hacks, but another possible reason for the results screen freezing could be that one of your PAC files or BRRES files is corrupted.

if corrupted files were the case, shouldn't goaliedude have a frozen wii all the time rather than having them occasionally?

highly unlikely, as this problem has persisted long before we were editing pacs and Brres...

This happens when you have a Custom CSS code on your GCT, or at least that was the case for me. But it never froze again when I removed the CSS code. Try that out and see if it works.

EDIT: This is assuming that you're trying to reach the Character Selection Screen. So the question would be, does it freeze immediately after the match before you press any buttons at the results screen, or does it happen after you press buttons at the results screen to try and reach to the Character Selection Screen.

It happens after I press buttons trying to get back to the results screen. In regards to the CSS, does that include the one that comes with Brawl+? Because that's the only one that I have. This also never happened to me when I had the previous version of B+. I think I had 4.0 or 4.2 before and I just recently got 5.0, I think, and that's when it started happening.

Yeah, i'm currently using Brawl+ 4.1 with their CSS. The freezing should be a possibility with any CSS code. I remember when I first played Brawl Plus, it never happened to me neither. But I guess it was just by chance that it didnt happen.

If it does keep freezing after you remove the CSS code, it could be something else. But i'm pretty sure you're getting the same problem that I had before.

Thanks so much freezboi! Since I turned of the CSS codes, I haven't once experienced the result screen freezing!

The Brawl+ 5.0 CSS has never freezed on me. But 4.1 has, I suggest upgrading.
