me and lovage beat macd and zhu the other day, double fox vs fox/peach

double fox is good but you have to know your partner really well, also you both have to take care of yourselves a little more

there's no guide really, just keep trying and work on your mistakes.

i could lay out some rules of thumb, though:
1. don't get downsmashed by peach
2. try to keep the pace of the match a little faster than your opponents are comfortable playing at. your team is two foxes, after all.

Who are some of the better foxes wot watch to get a visual grasp of fox's movement? like the more efficient ways to maneuver the stage, what kind of movement is used to for fluidity, what a good dash dance game looks like with fox, etc?

Cactuar has flat out the sexiest movement. Mango, Zhu, RaynEx, are all really smooth with their foxes. Eggm has the best technical execution in game. Jman is probably the most efficient when it comes to movement. Obviously anyone featured in this thread also provides a good example. Lucky plays kinda wack though.

Jman is the go-to Fox to try and copy, playing the way he does will teach you a lot about the game.

Personally, Mango is still my favorite Fox, and he plays an aggressive and pressure based style

But if I had to suggest just one Fox for movement (never a good idea, watch them all, ask yourself why they do things, then make your own style based on that) it'd be Forward. Best dash dancing in the world.

I was very disappointed to find that Chillindude829 isn’t mentioned in this thread at all, let alone having a section for his videos.

Sure, maybe he is a bit rustier than he used to be…but this guy pretty much created Fox. He, more than anyone, has a really good feel for Fox. He may have had one or two hiatuses, but he does still play melee on a high level.

Isn’t this thread about Fox players learning something from videos of pros? There is definitely plenty to learn from his videos; even if his style is slightly unconventional.

I’ve put below some links to some of his recent matches. I hope you can add it to the main post…there is a lot to learn from them.

True dat, someone needs to put it on youtube. As well as his matches with G$.

I wouldn't mind doing it, but I have no idea how. If anyone gives me a heads-up of how to steal it off ustream, I'll be happy to do it.

Someone attend to adding those Chillindude829 videos dammit.

Quoted you in the first post.

I don't play smash as much as I used to, and I don't play Fox nearly as much as I used to, so I'm done updating this thread. I'll quote other people if you just PM me to get their videos in the first post but it'd be awesome if someone who's more active in the community took over.

:)
